Each year YDAPA experiences a considerable turn over in personnel and major changes to available facilities for rehearsal and performance. These changes are often hard to compensate for and make long term planning difficult. YDAPA's current governing bodies, the Board of Directors, the Advisory Committee and the Management Team are charged with the day-to-day operations of the company and while they certainly must contribute to the visioning process they are currently not responsible for developing a comprehensive plan for the future.
YDAPA definitely needs to explore options for funding sources, partnerships, facilities, programs, systems and personnel that will ensure the continuation of the project. The YDAPA Sustainability Project Team or YSP Team was created for just those reasons.
Therefore it will have two points of focus: looking at both the program alterations needed for YDAPA's sustainability, and the corporate change strategies that are required to support these alterations.
Project Activities
The YSP Project team has met and discussed several items for next year including increasing enrolment, facilities for rehearsal and performance space, programs for 2007/08 and staffing for the various programs.
The YDAPA Sustainability Project Team is made up of volunteers from the community who have a special interest in the development of YDAPA and its programs. The team members are: (alphabetically)
- Gord Brown
- Susan Dekker
- Christine Hill
- Wayne Hill
- John Relph
- Sue Sherban
If you have any ideas or submissions that you would like to make to this team, please do so by emailing info@ydapa.com.
